Recognition, Recognition! Hey, that's what it is all about. You have a great newsletter or website, let's tell the world. It is time for our Annual Newsletter and Website competition. September 1 is the date for you to start submitting your website URL's and newsletter's for this competitive event. The procrastinators will have until Oct 31st to get their entries in. You'll be able to submit your entries on the website at http://www.apcug.net/submit (Ken will furnish me the real address before the end of the week). The results of the competition will be announced at our Annual Conference, January 3 - 5, 2005 in Las Vegas, you need not be present to win. After the Conference, we will be posting the results on the web and in the Reports. All winners will receive a Certificate of Excellence for their outstanding newsletters and web sites. Judging criteria. Not going to spell it all out here but high on the list is readability, timeliness, content, and presentation. We are going to request 3 newsletters from each group, yes, three issues as consistency is also important. You get to choose how to submit your newsletter, HTML, PDF or in Print. Each will be judged in competition with other submissions in the same category. If you have an outstanding printed newsletter, you want to submit it as printed in order to compete with other printed newsletters. Also, there will be two divisions of group sizes in order to level the playing field as much as possible. Finally, the judging will be focused on what is important to User Groups, Users helping Users.
