Live Meeting Training

This message was sent to the Presidents, APCUG Reps, Program Chairmen, Editors, and Web Masters of all APCUG Groups, and also posted here to announce a series of Live Meeting Training Classes:

The first of these sessions was held March 2, and it was attended by my assistant Presenter, Bill James, one of APCUG's Advisors, Sam Wexler, Advisor for Region 1 (CT, MA, ME, NH, NY, RI, VT), and ten members of APCUG Member groups.

I have a number of recordings of the first meeting, in different sizes and qaulities. Let me know which you like best.. Live Meeting offers a Q&A feature where Attendees can ask questions and the Presenter (or in this case my assistant Presenter, Bill James) can answer them. We also just used it as a demonstration where the members could enter their names, so it is not terribly, but you can look at the Question and Answer Log.

In order to participate you will need to download the Microsoft Office Live Meeting 2007 client from http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/help/HA101733831033.aspx

To save time before the meeting, check your system to make sure it is ready to use Microsoft Office Live Meeting. http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=90703

If you want a preview of LiveMeeting you may want to go to http://www.microsoft.com/uc/lmoc/r2/from_client/website/lmoc.html?product=LM&locale=en-us and watch some of the tutorials.

Then the night of the class go to http://sharepoint.apcug.net/default.aspx and there will be an announcement providing the URL.

The next training session will be March 10th (second Tuesday) at 9pm EDT, 8pm CDT, 7pm MDT, 6pm PDT. An Attendee URL is here, and it is available on the APCUG Sharepoint site in a few days, and people who watched the March 2 presentation may get the Presenter URL by emailing Don Singleton.

The other two sessions scheduled for March are:

If you have not already signed up for access to the APCUG Sharepoint site, this would be a good time to do it.
