The Twin Lakes Computer Users Group has been operating continuosly since 1982 and currently has over 200 members. The Mountain Home area is extremely progressive with a population of 10,000.

The TLCUG has had many community projects over the years, with 4 current projects:
We have refurbished, this year, used computers from parts and given them to organizations such as the Youth Center, Senior Center, Humane Society, Food Basket, Our Kids Charity, County emergency radio service and have requests from the local State corrections unit to provide them to help train prisoners in computer use.

The TLCUG volunteers help the public utilize the 7 computers donated to the local Baxter County Library by the Gates Foundation. This is an 8 hrs per day, 7days a week, 52 weeks a year effort.

The TLCUG holds free computer classes at the Library each Tuesday and Saturday of the week on such subjects as MS Windows 98, E-Mail, the Internet, Desktop Publishing, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Works, Adobe Photo Deluxe, Scanner use, etc.
